HomeSmiths is a family run interior design practice in West Sussex specialising in interior design for care and retirement living. As dementia care design specialists, we understand the needs of people living with sensory and cognitive decline and how colour contrast, intelligently thought out lighting design, furniture layout, colour choice and acoustic consideration can affect how people feel, and consequently how they behave in a space. We believe that interior design is about creating supportive and inclusive environments which people want to live in and crucially as they age, spaces that enable them to live independently for as long as possible.
Believing that care homes and retirement living schemes should feel like a home, we pay particular attention to design touches which provide communal areas with a sense of relevance and establishment in the local community. Through use of engaging art and accessories, our schemes provide interesting and stimulating environments for residents, specifically those living with dementia.
Our portfolio includes new builds and refurbishment projects in Residential, Nursing and Dementia Care, Extra Care, Assisted Living, Sheltered Housing and Hospices.
Based in West Sussex, we work with clients in the South of England including Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Hampshire, London, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire, Essex and Suffolk.
